We recently moved to the area and just got a puppy. I took the puppy to another vet and he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection about two weeks ago. The vet prescribed antibiotics and sent me on my way without a follow up scheduled or anything. After we ran through the course of antibiotics, my puppy was still sick. I called Banfield on Sunday and they helped me schedule an appointment for Monday. Upon our arrival Monday, the front desk staff immediately greeted us and played with my puppy (let me remind you, this was our first visit). No sooner did we sit down, did the Vet technician call us back to the exam room. He greeted Luke and played with him while asking me questions about the reason for our visit. I thought it was wonderful that he helped distract the puppy and make him comfortable. Shortly after, the vet (Dr. Nimmo) walked in, introduced herself, and began the exam. She did such a thorough job, checking all of his systems, rather than just focusing on the presenting symptoms. She caught two minor "issues" with our puppy that the other vet did not. Dr. Nimmo took the time to explain what these meant. Since this is my first dog, he explained a few conditions that can impact dogs (i.e. heart worm) and how we can address them. Dr. Nimmo also explained proper preventative care. She made sure she answered all of my questions before prescribing an antibiotic and scheduling a follow up appointment to check in on his health.

The check out process was seamless and they gave me a coupon to use on this visit - a free exam! I had this coupon from Pet smart, but left it at home. It didn't matter - they still honored it. On my way out, I was carrying my puppy, my purse, and a bag with documents. The vet tech so kindly helped me with the door.

I didn't expect to hear from them until our next appointment, but they called me the next day to see how the appointment went and to check on how my puppy was feeling. For these reasons, I will absolutely be back to Banfield and highly recommend this location to others looking for a caring and compassionate veterinary office.
